Serving Arcadia, AZ
Built for Arcadia backyards
Arcadia is a district apart, straddling the Phoenix and Scottsdale line at the foot of Camelback Mountain. Its signature is the flood-irrigated lot: deep, grassy parcels shaded by mature citrus and eucalyptus, watered off the historic canal system, ringed by ranch homes and high-end modern rebuilds. Arcadia Proper holds the largest of these lots; Arcadia Lite runs smaller and tighter to the south and west. It is one of the Valley's most remodel-heavy neighborhoods, where owners invest for the long haul. Solterra Hardscape has designed and built outdoor living across Arcadia since 2012, treating each yard as one connected space rather than a set of separate upgrades.
Arcadia's calling card is flood irrigation, and it changes how we build. These lots sit inside berms that hold periodic canal water on the lawn and citrus, so we set patios, travertine and outdoor kitchens at grades that keep that water moving to the trees instead of pooling against a slab or a foundation. Under the topsoil is the same caliche the rest of the Valley fights, so we excavate, compact a real base, and grade for monsoon runoff off Camelback before anything is laid. Mature citrus, eucalyptus and pecan carry wide root systems worth designing around, not through. Most of Arcadia has no HOA, which opens up design freedom, though projects still pull City of Phoenix or Scottsdale permits depending on which side of the line your lot falls.

Where We Work
Proudly serving Arcadia
& nearby communities.
Travertine and premium pavers lead in Arcadia, where high-end remodels demand pool decks around existing pools and patios that match six-figure interiors. Outdoor kitchens are close behind, since these deep lots have the room to entertain. Drainage and grading underpin all of it, because flood irrigation and caliche leave water with nowhere to go. And lush-look, low-water planting with smart drip lets owners keep the green Arcadia character without the old flood-fed water bill.

Common questions in Arcadia
We've answered the most common questions to help you understand the process, timing, and what to expect.
Didn't find your answer? Get in touch →
Do you serve Arcadia?
Yes. Arcadia is core to our Phoenix-metro service area, and we build across the whole district: Arcadia Proper, Arcadia Lite, Marion Estates, Ingleside and the streets around Arizona Country Club, on both the Phoenix and Scottsdale sides of the line. Solterra has designed and built outdoor living here since 2012 under Arizona ROC #359628.
What drives the cost of a hardscape project in Arcadia?
Square footage, material and site conditions. Arcadia's flood-irrigated lots often need careful grading so berms and drainage keep working, and mature citrus and caliche can add excavation. Premium travertine and pool-deck work cost more than a basic paver patio. We price the real conditions on your lot with a free on-site estimate, not a generic per-foot rate.
Does Arcadia have HOA rules, and will flood irrigation complicate the build?
Most of Arcadia has no HOA, so you have unusual design freedom. The real constraints are flood irrigation and jurisdiction: we grade so canal water still reaches your lawn and citrus, and we pull permits through the City of Phoenix or Scottsdale depending on which side of the line your lot sits. Retaining walls and some drainage work may require them.
How soon can you start, and is the estimate free?
Estimates are always free and no-obligation. After we walk your Arcadia lot, most projects begin within a few weeks, and a typical patio, deck or turf install runs from a few days to 2 to 3 weeks depending on scope, materials and any grading or drainage the flood-irrigated site needs. We give you a clear timeline up front.
